I got a leaflet through the door and set it aside. Before I realized it, a year and a half had passed so I decided to make the call to the club—a decision that turned out to be one of the best I have made. 

From the moment I reached out, everyone was incredibly welcoming. The coaches at the club are fantastic and provided excellent guidance. 

Thanks to their support, I was able to learn the technique quickly and felt comfortable participating.

I was looking for a gentle way to get active and saw an open day at Century Bowls Club.

I went along and was welcomed by one of the coaches. The facilities are great and after a short trial session I was hooked.

The basics didn't take long to learn and the friendly atmosphere was a great place to socialise.

The regular "roll ups" are a great way to start bowling. The other members are very friendly and encouraging.

With both indoor and outdoor rinks at Century I'm very glad I joined the club and yes I do get that gentle exercise I was was looking for.

 Joining Century Bowls Club has honestly been one of the best decisions I’ve made.  From the moment I first stepped through the doors, I felt welcomed into a friendly and supportive community.

Indoor bowling has become something I genuinely look forward to each week. It’s not just about the game itself, but the atmosphere—the camaraderie, the laughs, and the chance to meet people from all walks of life.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or have years of experience, everyone is encouraged and included.

What I enjoy most is how relaxing yet engaging it is. It’s a great way to stay active, improve your skills, and unwind at the same time.

The club provides a fantastic environment to learn, compete, and most importantly, have fun.

Looking back, joining Century Bowls Club was absolutely the right choice. I’d recommend it to anyone considering indoor bowling—you won’t regret it.

A friend introduced me to bowls and I started looking for a club to join. 

Within a few hours of messaging Century, I'd been contacted by John, the Membership Secretary, and Richard, one of the club's coaches, and a coaching session had been booked for me.

Richard, got me up to speed with the basics of the game in just a few hours. 

Within days of joining the club I was playing in roll ups and later entering some of the many internal competitions that the club organises every year.

The members are very friendly and there's always someone there to encourage you.

All in all, a well run club with great facilities that is very welcoming to new members.
